A Lake Tahoe Surprise Proposal on a Pier

Matt first reached out to us to help plan his Lake Tahoe Surprise Proposal a few months in advance.  Immediately he let us know that he couldn’t imagine life without Danielle and that she is the Ying to his Yang. In getting to know him more, he let us know how they both were already such a big part of each other’s families and just how excited he is at what their future together holds.

After chatting with Matt, the location we chose to go with for the big moment was on a pier overlooking the always beautiful waters of Lake Tahoe.

We were so excited to wake up to blue skies and temperate weather on the day of their Lake Tahoe Surprise Proposal.  Tahoe weather can tend to be tricky sometimes so it is always such a relief when the weather cooperates. Josh & I got into the location early and were already set up and ready to go when Matt came strolling in holding Danielle’s hand. Matt certainly didn’t waste any time in dropping down to one knee once they were on the pier. Danielle had the most beautiful smile on her face when she realized what was happening and quickly said yes. It honestly is such a beautiful moment and witnessing it never gets old. The gratitude that we feel to be able to capture these once-in-a-lifetime moments gives us all the feels every time.

After they took some time to themselves to embrace the moment and get a good look at the gorgeous ring, we then ventured off to have a little photo session together.

Upon learning that both Matt & Danielle spend a lot of time in the gym, we fully took advantage of their strength training. Needless to say, when we asked Danielle to jump into Matt’s arms during their session, they absolutely nailed it. Both of their personalities were so complementary to one another and we had such a fun time exploring with them together. It is always so awesome for us as photographers to have such willing subjects and they rocked their photo session in every way possible.
